I am writing, on behalf of the Department
of Physics, to invite you to the Sir Nevill Mott Lecture 2001.
This year's speaker is Sir Robert May FRS, former Chief Scientific
Adviser to the Government and Head of the Office of Science and
Technology, now President of the Royal Society. The lecture will
be held on Wednesday 7 March 2001, in Lecture Theatre T.0.03,
Mechanical Engineering Building at 2.30pm.
It would be helpful if you would let me
know as soon as possible if you are able to accept this invitation.
Please let me know how many additional guests
you intend to bring.
